The Flourish Initiative, in partnership with Veterans United Home Loans and Veterans United Foundation, funds scholarship opportunities for students in Boone County, MO and the ST. Louis Metro area.

Trade/Technical Scholarship Applications are Open!

The Trade/Technical Scholarship includes programming in addition to tuition and flexible funding for costs associated with diverse higher education programs. Since 2019, a total of $737,085 has been awarded in scholarships and grants, to over 189 recipients.

Programming gives recipients personal and professional support through:

  • Mentorships
  • Personal and Professional Development Programs
  • Group Volunteering Coordination
  • Semester check-ins

Eligibility

We’re looking for students committed to inclusion who are between the ages of 18-24 years old who are pursuing a tech/trade/certificate program within 30 miles of Boone County, MO or the St. Louis Metro area. We ask that they meet one or more of the following:

Are members of a community experiencing education or career barriers.

Are first-generation college students.

Are motivated by their heritage or culture to take on a leadership role or reach a specific goal through their unique ability and perspective.

Have shown courage and determination in overcoming racial exclusion.
