Traditional Scholarship

The Flourish Initiative, in partnership with Veterans United Home Loans, funds scholarship opportunities for students of color.

Traditional Scholarship Applications are Currently Closed.

Applications will re-open in March 2024.

The Traditional Scholarship includes programming in addition to tuition and flexible funding for costs associated with diverse higher education programs. Since 2019, a total of $641,185 has been awarded in scholarships and grants, to over 200 recipients.

Programming gives recipients personal and professional support through:

  • Mentorships
  • Personal and Professional Development Programs
  • Group Volunteering Coordination
  • Semester check-ins

Eligibility

First generation & non-traditional students are strongly encouraged to apply!

A member of an underrepresented racial/ethnic marginalized community.

Between the ages of 18-22 at the time of applying (for first time recipients).

A U.S. citizen at the time of application.

Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree within 30 miles of Boone County.
