Traditional Scholarship

The Flourish Initiative, in partnership with Veterans United Home Loans and Veterans United Foundation, funds scholarship opportunities for students of color.

The Traditional Scholarship includes programming in addition to tuition and flexible funding for costs associated with diverse higher education programs. Since 2019, a total of $737,085 has been awarded in scholarships and grants, to over 189 recipients.

Programming gives recipients personal and professional support through:

  • Mentorships
  • Personal and Professional Development Programs
  • Group Volunteering Coordination
  • Semester check-ins

Eligibility

First generation & non-traditional students are strongly encouraged to apply!

A member of an underrepresented racial/ethnic marginalized community.

Between the ages of 18-24 at the time of applying (for first time recipients).

A U.S. citizen at the time of application.

Pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree within 30 miles of Boone County, MO or the St. Louis Metro area.
