Flourish Initiative is proud to be the host organization for our local Youth MOVE chapter, Flourish Youth MOVE! Flourish Youth MOVE is a chapter of Youth MOVE National which is a youth-driven organization that is dedicated to improving services and systems that support positive growth and development by uniting the voices of youth who have lived experience in various systems including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.

Flourish Youth MOVE was started by youth in Flourish Prep I internship. As part of their internship service project, several Prep I cohorts researched youth-led organizations they wanted to bring to Boone County, submitted the Youth MOVE chapter application, and hosted community action planning meetings to determine focus areas and strategies for improving youth mental health and reducing gun violence amongst youth. Many of Flourish’s Prep I interns continue to be involved in the implementation of Flourish Youth MOVE’s action plan to create more safe spaces for youth in Boone County.
